'You always want to go back to your old clubs and thank people but we're there to be professional and win'
Liverpool boss 'hungry' for success
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says he is "hungry" for more success after winning the Carabao Cup.
The Reds beat Chelsea on penalties in the final at Wembley on Sunday, with Klopp becoming the first German manager to win the trophy.
It was Liverpool's first domestic cup triumph since 2012 and Klopp said he is determined to add to the club's trophy cabinet.
"I'm really happy for the boys," Klopp said.
"We've had a tough time in the last few months but we've always stayed together and we've always believed in ourselves.
"We showed today that we're a top team and we're capable of winning big trophies. We've got a lot of quality in this squad and we're hungry for more success."
Klopp praises Liverpool's character
Klopp also praised his players' character after they came from behind to beat Chelsea.
The Reds fell behind to a Kai Havertz goal in the first half, but they fought back to equalise through Sadio Mane just before the interval.
The match went to penalties and Liverpool held their nerve to win 11-10.
"The character of this team is incredible," Klopp said.
"We never give up and we always believe in ourselves.
"We showed that today and we deserved to win."
Liverpool's season back on track
The Carabao Cup victory is a major boost for Liverpool, who have endured a difficult season so far.
The Reds are currently ninth in the Premier League and they were knocked out of the Champions League in the group stages.
However, the win at Wembley has given Klopp's team a much-needed confidence boost and they will now be hoping to push on and finish the season strongly.
"This win is a big moment for us," Klopp said.
"We know we've got a lot of work to do but we're on the right track.
"We're going to keep working hard and we're going to keep fighting for success."
