Neymar misses Al Hilal vs Al Taawoun match in SPL
Neymar ruled out of Al Hilal vs Al Taawoun match due to thigh injury
Brazilian superstar Neymar will miss Al Hilal's Saudi Pro League match against Al Taawoun on Thursday due to a thigh injury.
The 31-year-old forward picked up the injury in training on Tuesday and has been ruled out of action for the next few days.
Al Hilal coach Ramon Diaz confirmed Neymar's absence at a press conference on Wednesday.
"Neymar has a thigh injury and will not be available for tomorrow's match," Diaz said.
"He is receiving treatment and we hope to have him back soon."
Neymar's injury is a blow to Al Hilal, who are looking to extend their lead at the top of the SPL table.
The Brazilian has been in excellent form since joining the Saudi club in January, scoring five goals in six matches.
Al Hilal will be hoping that Neymar can return to action soon and help them to win the SPL title.
