WEEK 11: Seven area teams begin football playoffs at home
Here's a look at the area's first-round playoff matchups:
Seven area high school football teams will begin the playoffs at home this week, including two teams that earned No. 1 seeds in their respective divisions.
Class 6A
- No. 1 seed Allen will host No. 4 seed Plano East at Eagle Stadium.
- No. 2 seed McKinney Boyd will host No. 3 seed Southlake Carroll at McKinney ISD Stadium.
- No. 3 seed Prosper will host No. 2 seed Coppell at Children's Health Stadium in Prosper.
Class 5A
- No. 1 seed Highland Park will host No. 4 seed Frisco Wakeland at Highlander Stadium.
- No. 3 seed Denton Guyer will host No. 2 seed Flower Mound Marcus at C.H. Collins Athletic Complex in Denton.
- No. 4 seed Wylie East will host No. 1 seed Keller at Wylie ISD Stadium.
Class 4A
- No. 2 seed Lovejoy will host No. 3 seed Frisco at Lovejoy ISD Stadium.
The playoffs will begin on Friday, Nov. 11, and will continue through the state championship games on Dec. 16-17.
All games will be played at 7:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
