Alpine driver unwell and will miss media day due to fatigue
Fernando Alonso will miss media day at the Brazilian Grand Prix after feeling unwell
Fernando Alonso will miss media day at the Brazilian Grand Prix after waking up unwell. The Alpine driver was suffering from fatigue, according to his team.
The Spaniard will arrive at the track later this weekend, meaning he will miss his media duties, but he is still expected to race.
Alonso has endured a tough few weeks, crashing out of the United States Grand Prix after a first-lap collision.
He then suffered a heavy landing in Mexico last weekend after clipping the kerbs on the exit of Turn 7, damaging his car and finishing the race outside the points.
Alonso is ninth in the drivers' standings with 71 points, 11 behind team-mate Esteban Ocon.
