Houston Texans co-founder Janice McNair to be honored with Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2023 Greater Houston Sports Awards.
Texans co-founder Janice McNair, who also serves as the team’s senior chair, will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2023 Greater Houston Sports Awards. The awards will take place on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at the Wortham Center in Houston. Currently in its 10th year, the Greater Houston Sports Awards celebrates local athletes both past and present.
McNair is the first woman to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, and joins other Houston sports luminaries such as Craig Biggio, Nolan Ryan, and Elvin Hayes.
McNair has been an integral part of the Houston Texans since their inception in 2002. As a co-founder, McNair has been a driving force behind the team's success on and off the field. She has been a strong advocate for the team and has played a key role in the development of NRG Stadium. McNair is also a strong supporter of the Houston community and has been involved in numerous charitable causes.
