Spooky Fun: Trick-or-Treaters Fill Downtown Clemson
Clemson, SC - October 31, 2023
Hundreds of costumed children and their families took to the streets of downtown Clemson on Monday evening for the annual trick-or-treat event.
The event, which was sponsored by the Clemson Area Chamber of Commerce, featured dozens of businesses handing out candy and other treats to trick-or-treaters.
The streets were lined with people of all ages, from toddlers in princess costumes to adults in elaborate Halloween get-ups.
The weather was perfect for trick-or-treating, with temperatures in the mid-60s and a light breeze.
The event was a huge success, with an estimated 500 people participating.
Local businesses reported a boost in sales thanks to the event.
"We had a great night," said Sarah Johnson, owner of the Clemson Corner Market.
"We sold out of candy early, and we had a lot of people coming in to buy other things, too."
The trick-or-treat event is a popular tradition in Clemson, and it's a great way for the community to come together and celebrate Halloween.
