Space Force sourcing conference helps drive capability development, readiness
Space Systems Command leads first-ever event
REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. – The U.S. Space Force’s Space Systems Command hosted its first-ever sourcing conference, May 3-4, bringing together industry leaders, academia and military acquisition professionals to collaborate on solutions for the service’s current and future needs.
The conference, themed “Driving Capability Development and Readiness,” gave industry partners the opportunity to engage with SSC leaders and learn more about the command’s priorities, acquisition strategy and technology roadmap.
Industry engagement key to mission success
Lt. Gen. Michael Guetlein, SSC commander, emphasized the importance of industry engagement in driving innovation and achieving the Space Force’s mission.
"Our goal is to build a resilient and responsive space architecture that will protect our nation and its allies," Guetlein said. "Industry is a critical partner in this endeavor, and this conference is a testament to our commitment to working together to develop and deliver the capabilities we need."
