Passion for haunting the whole town supports good cause in Aurora
Local woman uses love of Halloween to raise money for charity
AURORA, Colo. (KDVR) – If you’re looking for a good scare this Halloween season, look no further than the Stanley Marketplace.
Aurora resident Breanna Woodard is hosting the third annual “Stanley Scare” on Oct. 29 at the popular food hall and entertainment venue.
The event will feature a costume contest, trick-or-treating, a pumpkin carving contest, live music, food and drinks, and – of course – plenty of spooky decorations.
But Stanley Scare isn’t just about having a good time. Woodard is using the event to raise money for the Aurora Interfaith Community.
The Aurora Interfaith Community is a non-profit organization that provides food, clothing, and other essential services to families in need.
Woodard said she was inspired to start Stanley Scare after volunteering at the Aurora Interfaith Community.
“I saw how much good they do for the community, and I wanted to find a way to help them,” Woodard said.
Stanley Scare has raised more than $10,000 for the Aurora Interfaith Community over the past two years.
Woodard is hoping to raise even more money this year.
“I’m really passionate about helping others, and I’m excited to use my love of Halloween to make a difference in the community,” Woodard said.
