Martin Short, Steve Martin to Star in Hulu Murder Mystery Series

Hulu has ordered an eight-episode limited series starring Martin Short and Steve Martin.

The series, Only Murders in the Building, was created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman.

The series follows three strangers (Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez) who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one.

When a grisly death occurs inside their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the trio suspects murder and employs their collective expertise to investigate the truth.

As they record a podcast of their own to document the case, the three unravel the complex secrets of the building which stretch back years.

Perhaps even more explosive are the lies they tell themselves.

Short and Martin are both comedy legends with a long history of working together.

They first starred together in the 1986 film Three Amigos! and have since appeared in a number of other projects, including Planes, Trains & Automobiles (1987), Father of the Bride (1991), and Its Complicated (2009).

Only Murders in the Building is a welcome return to form for the duo, and it's sure to be a hit with fans of both comedy and true crime.

The series is scheduled to premiere on Hulu in 2021.
