Charlotte Dujardin sets sights on becoming seven-time Olympic champion in Vienna
Team GB star aims to add to her tally of three golds and three silvers in the Austrian capital
Charlotte Dujardin is targeting a record-breaking seventh Olympic gold medal as she competes in the dressage event at the World Equestrian Games this autumn in Vienna, Austria.
The British rider has won three golds and three silvers in the Olympics for Great Britain, and will be aiming to add to her tally when the Games are held in Austria from 23 August to 9 September.
Dujardin, 36, will be one of the favourites for the individual and team titles in Vienna, and will be hoping to lead her country to a first World Equestrian Games team gold medal since 2006.
The rider will be competing on her horse, Gio, who she has ridden to victory in the last two World Cup Finals and the 2017 European Championships.
Dujardin and Gio are a formidable partnership, and will be hoping to continue their winning ways in Vienna.
The World Equestrian Games are held every four years, and are the second most important event in the equestrian calendar after the Olympics.
The Games will be held in Vienna for the first time, and will feature over 1,000 athletes from more than 70 countries.
The dressage competition will take place from 28 August to 2 September, and will be one of the most hotly contested events of the Games.
Dujardin will be up against some of the best riders in the world, including Isabell Werth of Germany, who has won six Olympic gold medals.
However, Dujardin will be confident of her chances, and will be hoping to add to her impressive medal collection in Vienna.
