Buzin on upcoming election: we see all possible scenarios
The leader of the Social Democrats (PSD), Marcel Ciolacu, claims that Liviu Dragnea told him he "will never" get into politics again
In an interview with Digi24.ro, Ciolacu said that he had a meeting with Dragnea in which he asked him if he will run again for the PSD leadership position. I told him that there are at least ten people who will get jobs in PSD companies, because PSD has 35 companies in total." Buzin also said that he told Dragnea that "the judiciary's independence is a priority for PSD", but he did not specify if Dragnea agreed with him on this issue.
Liviu Dragnea was sentenced in May 2019 to three years and six months in prison for abuse of office in the Teleorman employment directorate case. He was released from prison on July 15, 2021, after serving two years and two months of his sentence.
