The Spaniard was taken to hospital on Monday after suffering from dizziness and vomiting. He has since been discharged, but is still feeling unwell.

McLaren have confirmed that Alonso will not be taking part in media day today. The team said in a statement: "Fernando Alonso will not be taking part in media day in Sao Paulo today."

"The McLaren driver has been receiving medical treatment after suffering from dizziness and vomiting.

"He has since been discharged from hospital, but is still feeling unwell.
